1. The experience

YOKAI ATLAS provides staff assistance at the start and finish, a physical quest kit, access to a personal web atlas, outdoor route guidance, puzzles, digital effects, and the advertised completion rewards. Guests walk between locations independently. Exact inclusions, duration, route area, meeting point, accessibility notes, and price are those shown for the selected product at checkout.

2. Booking and confirmation

Guests aged 18 or over may make their own booking and participate independently. High school students under 18 may book and participate without an accompanying adult once consent from a parent or legal guardian has been verified. For junior high school students and younger children, an adult guardian must make the booking and accompany them throughout the route. The booking representative is responsible for sharing these terms and operational messages with the group. A request is not confirmed until YOKAI ATLAS sends confirmation and receives any payment stated at checkout. We may refuse or cancel a request if we cannot provide the experience because of capacity limits, safety concerns, incorrect information, suspected misuse, or an obvious pricing error; any amount received for a cancelled booking will be handled under the cancellation policy.

3. Group size, booking deadlines, and arrival

The booking form provides quick selection for one to four participants and exact-number entry for larger groups. Booking requests for groups of nine or more require manual confirmation and may require staggered starts or another operating arrangement. Online bookings close two hours before the start time. Please ask at reception about walk-in applications. For high school students under 18, reception must verify a consent form completed by their parent or legal guardian before accepting the application. Without verified consent, the application cannot be accepted on the spot. The whole group should arrive at the confirmed meeting point at least 5 minutes before the start. If you are running late, please tell us your expected arrival time as soon as possible. We will meet you at reception at that time so you can participate. The deadline to reach the finish remains 5:00 p.m., even if you start late. If we have not heard from you, we normally wait until 15 minutes after your booked start time. Please refer to the cancellation and weather policy for no-show conditions.

4. Self-guided participation

• Follow traffic laws, facility rules, staff instructions, signs, and temporary restrictions.
• Do not enter private property, photograph where prohibited, block a road, or disturb residents, businesses, worshippers, or other visitors.
• Use the phone only after stopping in a safe place. No puzzle requires you to use your phone while crossing a road or operating a vehicle.
• Junior high school students and younger children must remain with an adult guardian.
• Alcohol or any condition that makes safe walking or device use difficult may result in participation being refused.

5. Route changes and closures

Public roads, parks, temples, shops, and other places may close or become unsuitable without notice. We may provide a replacement clue, detour, 2D encounter, shortened route, or equivalent completion method. A material reduction in the paid experience will be handled reasonably, including a partial or full refund where appropriate.

6. Phones, data, and AR

Everyone plays on their own phone. Each guest receives an individual participant number and needs a compatible, charged smartphone with a current browser and mobile data. Camera, motion, and optional location permissions are used only for the feature the guest activates. Where practical, a 2D alternative will be provided for the essential steps. Mobile data and device costs are the guest's responsibility.

7. Cancellations and weather

Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the start receive a full refund. The same cancellation conditions apply to same-day bookings. A booking made less than 24 hours before the start is outside the free-cancellation period once it is confirmed and paid. The refund conditions for rain and operator cancellation also apply to same-day bookings. Please see the Cancellation & weather policy for details. The experience is not automatically cancelled because of rain. Dangerous weather, official warnings, closures, or conditions judged unsafe by the operator may cause a delay, change, or cancellation.

8. Physical and digital materials

The kit, group access code, stories, puzzles, artwork, 3D models, audio, and software are protected materials. Guests may keep items expressly described as keepsakes and may take ordinary personal photos where permitted. They may not publish answers, duplicate access codes, resell the kit, extract digital assets, or commercially reproduce the experience.

9. Responsibility

Guests remain responsible for ordinary outdoor risks, personal belongings, transport to and from the meeting point, and compliance with public rules. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability arising from intentional misconduct or gross negligence. Any other limitation will apply only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

10. Support, complaints, and applicable law

Operational support will be provided through the method shown in the booking confirmation. These terms are governed by Japanese law, while mandatory consumer protections that apply to a guest remain unaffected. Please contact us first so that we can investigate and resolve a problem promptly.
