No app download is needed. Open the experience directly in Safari on an iPhone or Chrome on an Android phone. We recommend one phone per person, but you may share. Bring an internet connection that works outdoors in Japan and a well-charged phone. A portable charger is recommended.

No. Staff welcome you and hand over your kit at the start. Your group then follows the story through Higashiyama on its own. The web atlas provides directions and puzzles, and HELP in the game covers instructions and troubleshooting. Individual support and real-time assistance are not provided during the experience; emails are reviewed later. You do not need to return to the meeting point at the end.

Yes. Your web atlas shows the next stop, and you can take breaks or detours within opening hours. After the final encounter, you can leave from where you finish; there is no need to return to the meeting point.

The experience normally runs in light or ordinary rain. You can cancel free of charge until 23:59 Japan time on the day before your visit. After that deadline, cancellations or non-participation at your request because of rain are not refundable. If we cancel, you receive a full refund; we aim to notify you by email around 08:00 Japan time that day. If weather changes suddenly after that, we will contact you as soon as a decision is made.

Guests aged 18 or over may make their own booking. Guests aged 16–17 need consent from a parent or legal guardian; once that consent has been verified, they may take part without an accompanying adult. For children aged 15 or under, an adult guardian must make the booking and accompany them throughout the experience. Children aged 5 and under may join free with a parent or guardian. They do not receive a field kit or participant number and are not counted in the paid group size. Guests aged 6 and over pay the standard price.

Start near Exit 9 of Keihan Gion-Shijo Station, at street level. Your booking confirmation email will include a photo and map showing the exact meeting point.

The route takes about two hours on foot and includes stone paving, slopes and stairs. Some sections do not have a step-free alternative. You do not need to listen to audio or distinguish colours to complete the experience. You can use a camera-free 3D view, but your phone must still be able to display the 3D content correctly.
